I had the privilege to try these wonderful smart surgery glasses to operate live streaming from anywhere in the world. They give us effective, as in case of emergency we can connect at home and have the same vision as if we were in the OR. It allows us to collaborate with other partners and the different locations are no longer a problem.
What I like the most is the integration — combining multiple video sources in one screen, showing the surgeon’s hands, their view, and the entire OR setup. It’s like hosting a live surgical congress… but in your own operating theater.
With Rods&Cones we have excellent quality, compared to conventional live surgery streaming, but everything is so not in the way. You just have this very tiny cameras and connections, and it works very, very nice.
