LEIDERDORP – Orthopeden van het Alrijne Ziekenhuis in Leiderdorp roepen fysiotherapeuten op minder hard te trainen met hun patiënten. Het gaat dan met name om mensen die een nieuwe heup hebben gekregen. Volgens de chirurgen leert de ervaring inmiddels dat herstel beter gaat als je juist rustig aan doet. Dat zeiden de orthopeden de afgelopen dagen tijdens speciale bijeenkomsten met zo’n 350 fysiotherapeuten. Die laatsten konden live meekijken bij het plaatsen van een kunstheup.

(ENG) LEIDERDORP – Orthopedists at the Alrijne Hospital in Leiderdorp are calling on physiotherapists to train less hard with their patients. This particularly concerns people who have received a new hip. According to the surgeons, experience now shows that recovery goes better if you take it easy. The orthopedists said so over the past few days during special meetings with some 350 physical therapists. The latter was able to watch live the placement of an artificial hip.
