In Sri Lanka, Rods&Cones is working to establish a Hub and Spoke model, connecting central teaching hospitals with satellite healthcare centers in remote areas. By leveraging our remote technology, local surgeons at smaller hospitals can receive real-time support and mentorship from experienced specialists at major medical hubs. This initiative is enhancing surgical capacity in rural areas, reducing patient travel time, and ensuring that even those in the most underserved communities can access quality surgical care.​

UGIRA: Global Surgical Training for the Next Generation

Through our collaboration with UGIRA, Rods&Cones is helping to revolutionize surgical training worldwide. This project focuses on equipping surgeons with the latest techniques and knowledge via remote training platforms. By providing real-time, interactive surgical education, we are breaking down barriers to specialized training and enabling surgeons in resource-limited countries to learn from global experts without the need for costly travel. The impact is felt in operating rooms worldwide as surgeons gain the skills they need to save more lives.

COSECSA: Advancing Surgical Care in Kenya​

In partnership with COSECSA (The College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa), Rods&Cones is supporting efforts to strengthen surgical care across Kenya. By integrating our remote technology into COSECSA’s surgical training programs, we are helping to improve the quality of care and expand access to specialized surgeries in underserved areas. Trainee surgeons can consult with experienced professionals during critical procedures, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care no matter where they are treated.​

Indonesia: Enhancing Surgical Outcomes at RSPON​

In Indonesia, Rods&Cones partnered with RSPON (Rumah Sakit Pusat Otak Nasional), one of the leading brain hospitals in the region, to improve surgical outcomes through our remote support solution. Over the course of the collaboration, 80+ surgeries were performed with remote assistance, allowing local surgeons to connect with international experts in real-time. This project has been crucial in providing specialized neurosurgical care and guidance, ensuring patients receive cutting-edge treatment without the need to travel abroad for expertise.​

Ukraine: Building Surgical Capacity with Remote Expertise

In partnership with the University of Pennsylvania and their local partner, Rods&Cones is fostering surgical expertise in Ukraine by providing remote support and training to Ukrainian surgeons. This project focuses on enhancing the skills needed to manage complex injuries, especially in conflict-affected areas. By connecting hospitals in Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Odessa, and Kyiv with global experts, we are helping to build advanced surgical capacity, ensuring that even those on the front lines receive quality care.
